About Pinata Plaza

Pinata Plaza is the first of our two ways-to-win games and the one that shows the format off best. Five reels, three rows, and a plaza strung end to end with pinatas in every colour the printer had.

There are no paylines. A win is any run of matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel, in any row — three rows across five reels gives 243 combinations. In practice it means you stop scanning for a line and start watching the left edge: if reels one, two and three all show a pinata, you have already won something, wherever on the grid they happen to sit.

It is the highest-volatility game on the site. The quiet stretches are quieter and the loud ones are much louder, which suits a plaza full of things designed to be hit with a stick.

How to play

  1. Set your coin size

Use the controls under the reels to choose how many Confetti Coins each spin uses. The game is free either way — coin size only changes the pace of your virtual balance. The default stake is 5,000.

  2. Spin the reels

Press Play Free to spin all 5 reels. Every result is decided by a random number generator running in your own browser.

  3. Collect and keep going

Confetti Coins from completed runs land straight in your balance. Out of coins? The daily gift and the Lucky Spin top you up for free, every day.

Bonus features

243 ways to win, Pinata Wild substitution, Plaza Scatter free spins. Everything listed here is available from the first spin — there is no version of this game behind a purchase.

What the Merrymakers say about Pinata Plaza — illustrative notes, written by us

Took a minute to understand 243 ways and then I could not go back to counting lines.

Swingy. Long quiet runs, then a screen full of pinatas. Worth it for the screen full.

The wild landing on the middle three reels at once is the best moment on this site.

Pinata Plaza — questions

What does 243 ways mean?

There are no paylines. A win is any run of matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel, in any row — three rows across five reels gives 243 combinations. Every one of those 243 combinations is live on every spin, and there is nothing to switch on.

Is it better than a game with paylines?

Neither is better — they distribute virtual coins differently. Ways games pay smaller amounts more often and read more easily, since you never have to trace a line. Both kinds are free and both use the same currency.

What is the plaza meter I keep hearing about?

There is no meter and no progressive prize on this site. Pinata Plaza is a straightforward 243-ways game with a wild and free spins, and nothing accumulates between sessions except your own balance.
